Mariana Fernández is a writer and curator living in New York. Her work focuses on performance and video art, particularly from Latin America. She received an MA in Art History from Williams College and a BA in Journalism and Cultural Studies from New York University. She has held curatorial positions at Performa, the Experimental Media and Performing Arts Center (EMPAC), and the Clark Art Institute. She is an editor of Tuning Calder's Clouds, a forthcoming publication co-published by The Calder Foundation and EMPAC, and her criticism appears in publications such as BOMB, frieze, The Brooklyn Rail, and X-TRA
